Silicon ingot – the silicon ingots are produced inside of a furnace
Silicon wafer - undergoing a number of treatments, the ingot is then cut into small blocks and then sliced to produce silicon wafers with the same dimensions as the required cells
Solar cell - the wafers are cleaned using an ultrasonic wash then undergo a complicated process involving removal of impurities, acid neutralization and alkali etching to produce the finished solar cell.
Solar module - solar cells are soldered together to form short lines of cells which are then combined and sealed with layers of glass, EVA and TPT to form the module which is trimmed of excess material, tested and packaged ready to leave the factory
